As February descends on Calgary, Alberta, people retreat indoors and the cold dark days feel like they will never end. The Calgary Downtown Association partnered with Launchpoint Strategies to create an event to brighten spirits and elevate local business downtown.

Glow Winter Festival is a three night, energy infused event located in the heart of Calgary. This free, family-friendly event brightened the dark days of winter by igniting the community, the economy, and culture. An array of headlining musicians, outstanding activation, and show-stopping lights lined four blocks of Stephen Avenue.

From brand conception, vendor and artist sourcing to event tear down, Launchpoint managed all elements of the event. Our highly skilled team effectively streamlined operations, managed logistics and created a strategy to elevate the festival’s experience. Our priority was to ensure a top-notch attendee experience and high engagement with local businesses. We did this by delivering a fantastic experience, playing great music and most importantly, embraced the season.

Some of the creative ways we engaged over 100,000 attendees was planning an ice carving competition, setting up open-air campfires, building ice bars within local restaurants, running a trackless passenger train for families to enjoy and brought in many local and international performers on three different stages for attendees to enjoy.
